Live event drones in Murfreesboro
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Murfreesboro. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Murfreesboro, TN drone videographer page.
MTSU game days
Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Floyd Stadium at Middle Tennessee State University is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Campus flights need the university's approval. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Concerts and festivals
The courthouse square, downtown and event venues host concerts and festivals that we fly inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Stones River and airspace
Stones River National Battlefield is National Park Service land and bans drones without the superintendent's written approval. Murfreesboro Municipal Airport has no control tower, but Smyrna Airport to the northwest is towered. A Tennessee Air National Guard site in Rutherford County is a federal no-drone area. We check every Murfreesboro location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Tennessee event drone law
A Tennessee law that took effect July 1, 2026 makes it a Class A misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over it, with exceptions including FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get that consent in writing before every show.

FAQs
Can you fly at Floyd Stadium on event days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.
Does Tennessee law limit drones at ticketed shows?
Yes. A state law in effect since July 1, 2026 bars flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without consent from whoever controls it, so we get written consent first.
Can you fly at Stones River National Battlefield?
Not without the superintendent's written approval. It is National Park Service land.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
