Concert and Festival FPV Drone Company, Nationwide
Air Views Media is a concert and festival FPV drone company that travels to shows across the United States. Our festival aerials have gone out live on Hulu and Prime Video, from the main stages at EDC Las Vegas to the Vans Warped Tour stops in Orlando and Long Beach. Inside the Sphere in Las Vegas, our sub-100-gram livestream drones put the FPV picture on the venue's interior screen. We are based in Augusta, Georgia, with a second location in Lynchburg, Virginia, and our own crew flies the festivals we book.
Festivals we've flown live
EDC Las Vegas: we fly EDC Las Vegas year after year, as a multi-pilot team with over-crowd drones fed into the Hulu live stream across the festival weekend. See the EDC Las Vegas case study.
Vans Warped Tour, Orlando and Long Beach: we flew drones for the live broadcast on Prime Video at both stops, with our content teams shooting social and recap footage alongside the broadcast teams.
Austin City Limits: our over-the-crowd livestream drone work went out live on Hulu.
Promiseland on the Gold Coast, Australia, Factory Town during Miami Music Week, Art Basel Miami, and EDSea, the festival at sea aboard Norwegian Joy, round out a festival list that runs from desert grounds to cruise decks.
Venues, pop-ups and one-off shows
Not every show is a festival. Inside the Sphere in Las Vegas, we flew custom-built, sub-100-gram livestream drones and streamed the FPV picture from the goggles to the interior screen; see the Sphere case study. In New Orleans, during Super Bowl week, we flew drone content for the John Summit and Dom Dolla pop-up back-to-back set over Bourbon Street, with permission inside the FAA flight restriction that covered the French Quarter; see the Bourbon Street case study.
We also flew drones inside a Seattle arena to film content at a Paramore show, flew drone content at a DJ Snake show in New York, and fly Live Nation events, where venue and promoter requirements are part of every plan.
What a festival booking includes
Live aerials for the stream: real-time angles over the stages and the crowd, fed to your truck, switcher or encoder, flown on the director's cues. FPV and micro-drone content: fast passes and one-take flythroughs for recap films, artist content and social, cut after the show. Feeds for in-venue screens: the same drone can go to an LED wall or IMAG screen so the crowd sees itself from the air. Most festival clients book a mix, and we plan the live cuts and the content list together so the live show always comes first.
Flying over the crowd
Over-the-crowd shots are what make festival aerials feel live, and they are also where a festival takes on the most risk. Air Views Media holds FAA Part 107 waivers including Part 107.39 (operation over people), Part 107.35 (multiple aircraft), Part 107.31 (beyond visual line of sight), Part 107.25 (operation from a moving vehicle), Part 107.145 (operation over moving vehicles) and Part 107.51 (operating limitations). Each waiver has conditions, and we plan every flight path to meet them and to fit the festival's own safety plan.
On site that means light aircraft, rehearsed flight paths, defined no-fly zones and visual observers on every flight. We brief production, site operations and security before gates open, and if a move cannot be flown safely, it is not flown.
How to compare concert FPV drone companies
If you are choosing an FPV crew for a festival or a tour, ask every company the same questions. Which live streams have their drones actually gone out on, and can they name the platform? Which Part 107 waivers do they hold, and do those waivers cover operation over people and multiple aircraft? How does their feed reach your truck or LED processor, and can the truck shade the camera? Who are the pilots on the day, and have they flown the headliner slot at a festival of your size? What insurance do they carry, and can they name your venue on a certificate before load-in?
Our answers: live on Hulu and Prime Video; the waivers listed above; COFDM into the truck with Cyanview RCP camera control on our broadcast packages; our own core crew; and the $10 million aviation liability standard (optional up to $25 million).
