Los Angeles Drone Videography and Live Broadcast
In Long Beach, Air Views Media flew drones for the Vans Warped Tour's Prime Video live broadcast while our content teams shot social and recap footage alongside it. That live-plus-content setup is what we bring to stadiums, arenas, festivals and productions across Los Angeles: a clean live feed for the stream or the board, and a second crew producing edited content from the same event, without two companies on site or two sets of airspace paperwork. We're based in Augusta, GA, and we're a nationwide crew, so LA jobs get the same team that flies festivals and broadcasts across the country. Vans Warped Tour, Long Beach
At the Vans Warped Tour stop in Long Beach, we flew drones for the live broadcast on Prime Video. At the same time, our content teams shot social and recap footage in parallel with the broadcast teams. We flew the Orlando stop the same way.
Our California festival work also includes Outside Lands in San Francisco, where we covered the festival's Prime Video live broadcast. Our national credits include EDC Las Vegas every year since 2021 and a live FPV feed inside the Sphere, with footage used in an Alan Walker music video.
Airspace and permits in Los Angeles
Much of the LA basin sits under LAX's Class B airspace, with Burbank, Long Beach, Van Nuys and Santa Monica adding their own controlled airspace. SoFi Stadium is under the LAX approach path. We confirm the FAA authorization for the exact site and altitude before quoting a shot list.
Filming on city streets and many public locations needs a permit through FilmLA, which issues film permits for the City and County of Los Angeles. Drone use is listed on the permit, and some locations add their own conditions. Dodger Stadium, SoFi, the Coliseum and the Rose Bowl carry the FAA's standing stadium restriction during MLB, NFL and major college football games, and Disneyland in Anaheim has a permanent flight restriction of its own.
Live broadcast and content, side by side
At Warped Tour we ran broadtcast teams and content teams together. On a show like that, the broadcast team handles the live feed: over-crowd FPV drones for close passes, a cinema drone for the wide shots, and feeds cabled to the broadcast truck. The content team shoots for edits, social posts and recaps on its own schedule. For LA productions that means one booking, one safety plan and one set of authorizations, with two kinds of output. Waivers and broadcast setup
Air Views Media is run by Clark Lupton, an FAA Part 107 certified pilot since 2017. Our FAA Part 107 remote pilots operate under FAA waivers for flight over people (§107.39), over moving vehicles (§107.145), multiple aircraft (§107.35), beyond visual line of sight (§107.31), operation from a moving vehicle (§107.25) and operating limitations (§107.51). For live shows, our setup puts a COFDM camera transmitter on a micro FPV drone carrying a PROTON 4K FLEX camera, so the truck can shade it (iris, color, exposure) through Cyanview like any other camera, with feeds cabled into the truck. Have you worked in Los Angeles?

Can you run a live drone feed and shoot content at the same event?
Yes. At Warped Tour our broadcast and content teams ran side by side. We plan the content team's flying so the live show always comes first.
Do you handle FilmLA permits?
We work with productions on FilmLA permits for city and county locations, and we handle the FAA side, including airspace authorization near LAX and the other LA airports.
Can you fly at SoFi Stadium or Dodger Stadium?
On game days these venues sit inside the FAA's stadium flight restriction, and SoFi is under the LAX approach. Flying there needs FAA approval and the venue's agreement. We've flown inside stadiums for the Braves and for Mississippi State, and we plan LA venues the same way.

Are you based in Los Angeles?
