Chattanooga, TN FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Chattanooga

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Chattanooga for ballpark and concert content, riverfront scenes, venue fly-throughs and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Chattanooga, TN drone videographer page.

Erlanger Park in the South Broad District

Erlanger Park, the Chattanooga Lookouts' new ballpark, opened in April 2026 on the former Wheland Foundry site in the South Broad District and seats 8,032 for baseball, with preserved foundry buildings such as the Pattern Shop and the Powerhouse. FPV at a ballpark needs the venue's approval and a plan with the team's production crew, and we fly event spaces like the Pattern Shop as one-take fly-throughs.

Walnut Street Bridge and the riverfront

The Walnut Street Bridge, a pedestrian bridge of about 2,376 feet over the Tennessee River, links downtown to the North Shore. It is busy with walkers, so we fly riverfront FPV from agreed launch spots, keep clear of people who have not agreed to be filmed and plan any bridge shots with the city and the property owners.

Venues and attractions

Attractions, hotels and venues around the city are private property, so FPV fly-throughs there are planned with the owner and flown when crowds are managed. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See Indoor arena FPV drones and FPV drones for live broadcast.

Tennessee drone laws

A Tennessee law that took effect July 1, 2026 makes it a Class A misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over it, with exceptions including FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get that consent in writing before every show.

FAQs

Can you fly FPV at Erlanger Park?

Only with the venue's approval and a plan agreed with the team's production crew. Event spaces like the Pattern Shop suit one-take fly-throughs.

Can you film the Walnut Street Bridge with FPV?

Yes, from agreed launch spots and with care around walkers. We plan bridge shots with the city and the property owners and keep clear of people who have not agreed to be filmed.

Does Tennessee law limit drones at ticketed shows?

Yes. A state law in effect since July 1, 2026 bars flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without consent from whoever controls it, so we get written consent first.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
