Pigeon Forge, TN FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Pigeon Forge

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Pigeon Forge for theater and attraction fly-throughs, car shows, festivals and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Pigeon Forge, TN drone videographer page.

Attractions, theaters and shows

Our crew flew sub-100-gram livestream drones for UNITY at the Sphere in Las Vegas, with the live feed shown on its immersive screen. The Parkway's attractions, theaters and shops suit tourism and brand films, filmed with each owner's written approval. Dollywood bans personal and commercial drones on or off its property without the company's prior written approval, so we never fly toward it without that. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Car shows and festivals

Festivals and car shows draw big crowds, and many city events fall under Tennessee's event law. A Tennessee law that took effect July 1, 2026 makes it a Class A misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over it, with exceptions including FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get that consent in writing before every show. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Pigeon Forge, TN live event drones.

Cabins, park land and airspace

Cabin rentals, resorts and hotels need aerials of views and access plus interior tours. In the mountains the bigger limits are often terrain and land rules: ridgelines block line of sight and the control signal, so we pick launch points before the shoot. Great Smoky Mountains National Park land bans drones, so we keep flights off it. The nearest airport, in Sevierville to the north, has no control tower, but tour helicopters fly low over the area, so we keep a visual observer on every shoot. We check every Pigeon Forge location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs

Can you fly FPV near Dollywood?

Not without the company's prior written approval. Dollywood bans personal and commercial drones on or off its property without it.

Can you fly FPV inside a Pigeon Forge theater or attraction?

Yes, with the owner's approval and a route agreed with staff. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.

Does Tennessee law limit drones at ticketed shows?

Yes. A state law in effect since July 1, 2026 bars flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without consent from whoever controls it, so we get written consent first.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
