Pigeon Forge
Attractions and shows
The Parkway's attractions, theaters and shops suit tourism and brand films, filmed with each owner's written approval. Dollywood bans personal and commercial drones on or off its property without the company's prior written approval, so we never fly toward it without that. For shows and festivals we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Cabins and resorts
Cabin rentals, resorts and hotels need aerials of views and access plus interior tours. An indoor one-take fly-through shows a lobby or cabin in a single shot; see indoor fly-through tours. In the mountains the bigger limits are often terrain and land rules: ridgelines block line of sight and the control signal, so we pick launch points before the shoot.
Events and car shows
Festivals and car shows draw big crowds, and many city events fall under Tennessee's event law. Tennessee law bars drones over open-air ticketed events with more than 100 people, and over fireworks displays, without the owner's or operator's consent, so we get that consent in writing. Great Smoky Mountains National Park land, including the Spur toward Gatlinburg, bans drones, so we keep flights off it.
Airspace
Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport, in Sevierville to the north, has no control tower, but tour helicopters fly low over the area, so we keep a visual observer on every shoot. We check every Pigeon Forge location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly a drone at Dollywood?
Not without the company's prior written approval. Its rules ban drones on or off its property otherwise, so we film elsewhere unless approved.
Do you film cabin rentals and resorts in Pigeon Forge?
Yes. Exterior aerials of the view and access plus indoor fly-through tours, with the owner's approval.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Pigeon Forge?
It depends on the address. The nearby airport has no control tower, but helicopters and park land shape the plan. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Can you film car shows and festivals in Pigeon Forge?
Yes, with the organizer's written consent, since Tennessee law covers ticketed open-air events of more than 100 people.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
