Hotels and inns
Asheville's hotels, inns and mountain resorts suit one-take micro-drone fly-throughs that move through lobbies, rooms and restaurants in a single shot, the format we have flown for more than 15 Charleston-area hotels; see indoor fly-through tours.
Biltmore and the Parkway
Biltmore Estate prohibits drones and aerial photography without its written consent, and the National Park Service bans launching or flying drones from Blue Ridge Parkway land, so we film mountain views from approved private property. In the mountains the bigger limits are often terrain and land rules: ridgelines block line of sight and the control signal, so we pick launch points before the shoot.
Weddings and real estate
Mountain wedding venues and view homes sell on the scenery, and we fly with the venue's or owner's approval and keep a safe distance from guests. For weddings, festivals and concerts we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Airspace
Asheville Regional Airport, about nine miles south of downtown, has a control tower and Class C airspace, so southern addresses need LAANC. We check every Asheville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Can you fly a drone at Biltmore Estate?
Not without Biltmore's written consent. The estate prohibits drones and aerial photography otherwise.
Can you fly over the Blue Ridge Parkway?
Not from Parkway land. The National Park Service bans launching, landing or operating drones there, so we use approved private property nearby.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Asheville?
It depends on the address. Asheville Regional Airport has a control tower. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Do you film mountain weddings?
Yes, with the venue's approval. We film ceremonies, receptions and venue promos, keeping a safe distance from guests.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
