Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Tennessee law bars drones over open-air ticketed events with more than 100 people, and over fireworks displays, without the owner's or operator's consent, so we get that consent in writing. For festivals, games and concerts we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Downtown and the riverfront
Downtown hotels, music venues and the Mississippi riverfront suit hospitality and tourism films, filmed with the owner's approval. For lobbies, studios and restaurants an indoor one-take fly-through shows the space in a single shot; see indoor fly-through tours.
Parks and logistics
Shelby Farms Park allows drones only in its designated Drone Zone with a park permit, and limits that zone to recreational drones of 250 grams or less, so we film commercial work from private land. Warehouses, distribution centers and industrial sites need aerials that show scale and access.
Airspace
Memphis International, 3 miles south of downtown, has a control tower and a busy cargo operation, so many addresses need LAANC. The Memphis Air National Guard Base at the airport and the federal prison in Memphis are federal no-drone areas, and Millington to the north has its own airspace. We check every Memphis location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
