Music and venues

Our crew filmed Megan Thee Stallion's set at Rolling Loud Miami 2021 with a micro FPV drone. Franklin's music and event venues suit the same micro FPV approach, flown with the venue's approval and a plan agreed with the artist's team. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Weddings, estates and Main Street

Farms, estates and wedding venues suit one-take fly-throughs, and Main Street shops and restaurants suit short brand films, filmed with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Natchez Trace and airspace

The Natchez Trace Parkway is National Park Service land and bans drones without the superintendent's written approval, so we keep launches off the parkway. Nashville International and John C. Tune have control towers to the north. We check every Franklin location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Tennessee event drone law

A Tennessee law that took effect July 1, 2026 makes it a Class A misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over it, with exceptions including FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get that consent in writing before every show.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
