Live event drones in Dunwoody
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Dunwoody. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Dunwoody drone videography page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
Lemonade Days at Brook Run Park
Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Lemonade Days brings rides, food and crowds to Brook Run Park each April. With the organizers' approval and FAA authorization, we film recaps on a route that keeps clear of the crowd. For festivals and park events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Perimeter Center and the village
Perimeter Center, around Perimeter Mall and the Dunwoody MARTA station, is one of the metro's largest office districts, and its corporate towers along Ashford-Dunwoody Road host launches and company events. Dunwoody Village, the Spruill Center for the Arts and the historic Donaldson-Bannister Farm suit smaller community and arts events. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Peachtree-DeKalb airspace and Georgia law
Peachtree-DeKalb Airport is just south-east of Dunwoody, and its Class D airspace applies while the tower is open. Indoor flights only need the owner's approval. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Dunwoody location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly Lemonade Days at Brook Run Park?
With the organizers' approval and FAA authorization, we film recaps on a route that keeps clear of the crowd.
Does Peachtree-DeKalb Airport affect event flights in Dunwoody?
It can. We check each Dunwoody address against the airport's Class D airspace and file LAANC where it's needed.
Can you film a ticketed show in Dunwoody?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
