The Cherry Blossom Festival

Our crew flew five days of live coverage, live to FOX, at the FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta. The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival fills Blackburn Park each spring with music, food and an artist market. We fly with the city's approval and FAA authorization, on a route that keeps clear of the crowd unless our waivers allow otherwise. Campuses and corporate events

Town Brookhaven, the offices along Peachtree Road and Oglethorpe University's Gothic campus host openings, graduations and company events. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Arthur M. Blank Hospital opened in 2024 on North Druid Hills Road, and flights near it are planned around its rooftop helipads. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Peachtree-DeKalb airspace and Georgia law

Peachtree-DeKalb Airport sits on Brookhaven's eastern edge, and parts of Brookhaven sit under its Class D airspace while the tower is open, so we file LAANC or FAA authorization where it's needed and plan around hospital helicopter traffic. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Brookhaven location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
