Ameris Bank Amphitheatre
Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, operated by Live Nation, opened in 2008 and holds about 12,000 across its covered seats and lawn. Amphitheater shows run on the tour's production plan, so any drone flight is approved by the venue and the promoter, and we plan coverage around the stage, the lawn and the house cameras. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
City parks and the Greenway
Alpharetta's city code prohibits drones in city parks, including the Big Creek Greenway and the AlphaLoop, unless the city issues a permit, and a violation is a misdemeanor. For races, festivals and events on city land, we ask the organizer to include drone use in the city permit or launch from approved private property.

Georgia event drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.
