Montgomery

FPV drone pilot in Montgomery

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Montgomery for ballpark and bowl game content, venue and office fly-throughs, festival FPV and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Montgomery, AL drone videographer page.

Ballgames, bowl games and concerts

Our crew flew five days of live coverage, live to FOX, at the FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta. Ballgames, bowl games, riverfront concerts and festivals fill the calendar, and we fly them inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Montgomery, AL live event drones.

Venues and offices

Venues, offices and hotels suit one-take FPV tours, flown with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Maxwell and airspace

Maxwell Air Force Base, about 2 miles northwest of downtown, the Maxwell-Gunter Annex, the Air National Guard base at Montgomery Regional Airport and a Marine Corps Reserve site are all federal no-drone areas, so we plan launch points well clear of them. Montgomery Regional Airport, 6 miles southwest of downtown, has a control tower, and Maxwell's airfield is towered too, so many addresses need LAANC. We check every Montgomery location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Alabama drone law

Alabama's ticketed event drone law, in effect since October 1, 2026, bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed music, sports or performing arts event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we fly event work with the organizer's written consent. Many Alabama cities limit drone takeoff and landing on city property such as parks, so we launch from private property with the owner's approval or get the city's permission. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs

Can you fly FPV inside a Montgomery venue or office?

Yes, with the owner's approval and a route agreed with staff. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.

Can you fly FPV near Maxwell Air Force Base?

No. Maxwell, the Maxwell-Gunter Annex and the Air National Guard base are federal no-drone areas, so we launch well clear of them.

Does Alabama law limit drones at ticketed events?

Yes. Since October 1, 2026 state law bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we get consent in writing.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
