Florence
FPV drone pilot in Florence
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Florence for studio and venue fly-throughs, music videos, festivals and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Florence, AL drone videographer page.
Studios and music videos
Our crew flew drones for the Vans Warped Tour live broadcast on Prime Video in Orlando. The Shoals' recording studios, music venues and festivals suit music videos, recaps and brand films, filmed with the owner's or organizer's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Festivals and downtown
Downtown Florence, the University of North Alabama area and local businesses suit brand, recruiting and real estate films, filmed with the owner's approval. Alabama's ticketed event drone law, in effect since October 1, 2026, bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed music, sports or performing arts event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we fly event work with the organizer's written consent. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Florence, AL live event drones.
The Shoals dams, parkway and airspace
Wilson Dam and other TVA dams are secured sites, so we stay off dam property and ask TVA before filming near it. The Natchez Trace Parkway west of Florence is National Park Service land, which bans drone launches without the superintendent's written approval. Many Alabama cities limit drone takeoff and landing on city property such as parks, so we launch from private property with the owner's approval or get the city's permission. Northwest Alabama Regional Airport in Muscle Shoals has no control tower, so much of the Shoals is outside tower airspace, but we still check every site. We check every Florence location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV inside a recording studio?
Yes, with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.
Can you fly near Wilson Dam?
We stay off dam property and ask TVA before filming near it, because TVA dams are secured sites.
Does Alabama law limit drones at ticketed events?
Yes. Since October 1, 2026 state law bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we get consent in writing.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
