ABOUT OUR ORLANDO WORK

Orlando Drone Videography and Live Broadcast

In Orlando, Air Views Media flew drones for the Vans Warped Tour's Prime Video live broadcast while our content teams shot alongside it, and we've flown FPV over Kinetic Field at EDC Orlando. Running broadcast and content at once is one of the things that sets our crew apart: one booking covers the live feed for the stream and the edited clips for social. We're based in Augusta, GA, and Orlando is one of our Florida stops. Central Florida is one of the places we work, not the only one, and we send crews to venues, festivals and launches in any US city. We fly live aerial broadcast, concerts and festivals, FPV cinematography, micro-drone fly-through tours, stadium video-board feeds and creative and film work, and we plan Orlando's airspace and the Walt Disney World flight restriction before anything flies. Tell us what goes live and what you need edited. See every city we fly.

Warped Tour and EDC Orlando

At the Vans Warped Tour stop in Orlando, we flew drones for the live broadcast on Prime Video. Our content teams shot social and recap footage in parallel with the broadcast teams, the same setup we ran at the Long Beach stop.

We've also flown FPV over Kinetic Field at EDC Orlando, part of a run of Insomniac events that includes EDC Las Vegas every year since 2021 and drone flights aboard Norwegian Joy for EDSea, Insomniac's festival cruise from PortMiami. More on concert and festival drones.

Airspace and theme-park rules in Orlando

Orlando International's Class B airspace covers much of the metro, with Orlando Executive adding controlled airspace near downtown. We confirm FAA authorization for the exact site and altitude first.

Walt Disney World has a permanent federal flight restriction: no aircraft, including drones, within 3 nautical miles from the surface up to 3,000 feet, except with an approved waiver for the venue's own operations. We don't fly in that area without one. College bowl games and other events covered by the FAA's standing stadium restriction close the airspace around the stadium from an hour before to an hour after. Festival flights over crowds are flown under our §107.39 waiver with written sign-off from the event's security planner.

Broadcast teams and content teams

On the broadcast side: pilots on the over-crowd FPV drones for close passes, a pilot on the cinema drone for the wides, visual observers, and a crew member at the truck where the cabled feeds land. On the content side: a separate team shooting for edits, social and recaps, on its own flight plan, so the live show never loses a shot to the content shoot. For resorts and convention venues, our micro drones fly a whole venue in one continuous take. See flythrough tours.

Waivers and broadcast setup

Air Views Media is run by Clark Lupton, an FAA Part 107 certified pilot since 2017. Our FAA Part 107 remote pilots operate under FAA waivers for flight over people (§107.39), over moving vehicles (§107.145), multiple aircraft (§107.35), beyond visual line of sight (§107.31), operation from a moving vehicle (§107.25) and operating limitations (§107.51). For live shows, our setup puts a COFDM camera transmitter on a micro FPV drone carrying a PROTON 4K FLEX camera, so the truck can shade it (iris, color, exposure) through Cyanview like any other camera, with feeds cabled into the truck. See our FPV live broadcast setup and FAA waiver consulting.

Orlando drone questions

Have you worked in Orlando?

Yes. We flew drones for the Vans Warped Tour's Prime Video live broadcast in Orlando, with content teams shooting in parallel, and we've flown FPV over Kinetic Field at EDC Orlando.

Can you run a live drone feed and shoot content at the same event?

Yes. At Warped Tour our broadcast and content teams ran side by side. We plan the content team's flying so the live show always comes first.

Can you fly near Walt Disney World?

Walt Disney World has a permanent flight restriction for 3 nautical miles up to 3,000 feet. Drones can't fly there without an approved waiver tied to the venue's operations.

Can you fly over a festival crowd in Orlando?

Yes, under our FAA §107.39 waiver for flight over people, with the event security planner's written sign-off.

Do you do resort and venue fly-throughs?

Yes. Our micro drones fly a whole venue in one continuous take, which suits resorts, convention spaces and attractions.

Are you based in Orlando?

No. We're based in Augusta, GA, with a second location in Lynchburg, VA, and we travel to Orlando for festivals, broadcasts and venue work.
