Auburn
FPV drone pilot in Auburn
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Auburn for game day and campus content, festival FPV, venue fly-throughs and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Auburn, AL drone videographer page.
Game days and campus
Our crew filmed Megan Thee Stallion's set at Rolling Loud Miami 2021 with a micro FPV drone. Jordan-Hare Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Auburn University has a drone policy, so campus flights need university approval in advance.
Festivals, downtown and venues
Festivals and concerts are flown inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Downtown Auburn, downtown Opelika, student housing and new communities suit brand, real estate and recruiting films, filmed with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Auburn, AL live event drones.
Parks, airspace and Alabama law
Chewacla is a state park: Alabama state parks set their own drone rules, so we get written permission from the park before launching on park land. Alabama's ticketed event drone law, in effect since October 1, 2026, bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed music, sports or performing arts event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we fly event work with the organizer's written consent. Many Alabama cities limit drone takeoff and landing on city property such as parks, so we launch from private property with the owner's approval or get the city's permission. Auburn University Regional Airport, 2 miles east of town, has a control tower, so many addresses near campus need LAANC. We check every Auburn location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly near Jordan-Hare Stadium on game days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We schedule nearby shoots outside that window.
Can you fly FPV on the Auburn University campus?
Only with university approval in advance, under the university's drone policy.
Does Alabama law limit drones at ticketed events?
Yes. Since October 1, 2026 state law bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we get consent in writing.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
