Live event drones in Auburn

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Auburn. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Auburn, AL drone videographer page.

Jordan-Hare Stadium and campus

Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Jordan-Hare Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Auburn University has a drone policy, so campus flights need university approval in advance. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Festivals, downtown and venues

Festivals and concerts are flown inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Downtown Auburn and downtown Opelika suit brand and recap films, filmed with the owner's approval. Many Alabama cities limit drone takeoff and landing on city property such as parks, so we launch from private property with the owner's approval or get the city's permission. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Parks, airspace and Alabama law

Chewacla is a state park: Alabama state parks set their own drone rules, so we get written permission from the park before launching on park land. Tuskegee Institute and Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Sites to the west are National Park Service land, which bans drone launches without the superintendent's written approval. Alabama's ticketed event drone law, in effect since October 1, 2026, bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed music, sports or performing arts event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we fly event work with the organizer's written consent. Auburn University Regional Airport, 2 miles east of town, has a control tower, so many addresses near campus need LAANC. We check every Auburn location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs

Can you fly at Jordan-Hare Stadium on event days?

Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.

Can you fly on the Auburn University campus?

Only with university approval in advance, under the university's drone policy.

Does Alabama law limit drones at ticketed events?

Yes. Since October 1, 2026 state law bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we get consent in writing.

Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?

Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
