Daytona Beach
FPV drone pilot in Daytona Beach
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Daytona Beach for motorsports content, Bike Week and festival content, resort fly-throughs and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Daytona Beach, FL drone videographer page.
Daytona International Speedway
NASCAR races at Daytona International Speedway, including the Daytona 500, fall under the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after the event. Track FPV happens only with the speedway's approval as part of the event plan.
Bike Week, festivals and concerts
Our crew flew FPV over Kinetic Field at EDC Orlando in 2022. Bike Week, Biketoberfest, festivals and concerts suit FPV recaps flown inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Resorts, beaches and Florida law
Oceanfront resorts suit one-take fly-throughs. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Volusia County park rules prohibit launching or landing drones in county parks. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first. Florida Statute 330.41 bars drone flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, water plants, seaports, airports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents in writing, and it bars flights over K-12 schools, so we plan routes around both.
Airspace
Daytona Beach International has a 24-hour tower and Class C airspace over much of the city, with heavy flight school traffic, so most Daytona Beach flights need LAANC or FAA authorization. We check every Daytona Beach location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV at Daytona International Speedway?
Only with the speedway's approval as part of the event plan. Races there fall under the FAA stadium flight restriction.
Can you launch from Volusia County parks?
No. County park rules prohibit launching or landing drones in county parks, so we launch from private property with approval.
Are there Florida laws on where drones can fly?
Yes. Florida law bars flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, seaports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents, and it bars flights over K-12 schools.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
