VyStar Amphitheater at The Bridge

Our crew flew drone coverage at Austin City Limits in Zilker Park for the festival's Hulu live broadcast. VyStar Amphitheater at The Bridge seats more than 3,600 and is the city's main concert venue. Parks and race days

Panola Mountain State Park, near Stockbridge, requires a Georgia State Parks drone waiver, so park shots are planned well ahead. EchoPark Speedway in nearby Hampton, formerly Atlanta Motor Speedway, draws an FAA flight restriction on major race days, which we schedule around. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Hartsfield-Jackson airspace and Georgia law

Stockbridge is close enough to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport that parts of the area may sit in its controlled airspace, where the altitude we can be authorized to fly varies by grid square. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Stockbridge location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
