Live event drones in Griffin
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Griffin. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Griffin, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
Downtown Griffin events
Our crew flew a one-take micro-drone fly-through of the Camp EDC campground in 2024. Downtown Griffin, founded in 1840 and later a textile town, hosts concerts, movies and seasonal festivals on its streets. For festivals, graduations and community events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Homes, mill villages and farmland
Griffin's historic homes, mill-village neighborhoods and farmland across Spalding County host weddings, open houses and farm events that suit an aerial. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Race days, airspace and Georgia law
EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, north of Griffin, draws an FAA flight restriction on major race days, so shoots close to the track are scheduled around them. A new Griffin-Spalding regional airport is under construction, so the airspace picture around it may change. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Griffin location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly a downtown Griffin festival?
Yes, with the organizer's approval and a flight plan that keeps the drone off the open crowd.
Does race day at EchoPark Speedway affect Griffin shoots?
Shoots close to the track are scheduled around the FAA flight restriction on major race days.
Can you film a ticketed show in Griffin?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
