Macon, GA Live Event and Concert Drones

Live event drones in Macon

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Macon. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Macon drone videography page, and for one-take fly-throughs see our Macon FPV drone pilot page.

Bragg Jam and downtown crawls

Bragg Jam's Concert Crawl moves through downtown Macon venues in a single night each summer, and the 2026 crawl was held on July 25. Crawls and parades spread across streets, rooftops and clubs, so we plan short flights at set points with the organizer instead of one long flight over the crowd.

Amphitheater and arena shows

Atrium Health Amphitheater hosts outdoor concerts downtown, and Macon Centreplex lists a new arena opening in 2028 with up to about 10,200 seats for arena concerts. At amphitheater shows we plan coverage around the stage, the lawn and the house cameras, so the drone adds a shot without blocking sightlines. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.

Live feeds to screens and streams

We can send the drone feed live to IMAG screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, with the format, latency and cue points agreed in advance; see Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Georgia event drone law

Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

FAQs

Can you film Bragg Jam or other downtown crawls?

Yes, when the organizer hires or approves us. Crawls spread across many venues and streets, so we plan short flights at set points with the organizer.

Can the drone feed go to screens at an amphitheater show?

Yes. We send live drone video to the screens or the stream and agree the format and cue points with production before the show.

How early should we book for a Macon event?

As early as you can. Venue approval, organizer consent and any FAA authorization take time, so for larger shows we suggest booking several weeks ahead.

Can you film a ticketed show in Macon?

Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
