Live event drones in Fayetteville

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Fayetteville. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Fayetteville drone videography page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.

The Ville and downtown

Our crew flew drone coverage at Austin City Limits in Zilker Park for the festival's Hulu live broadcast. The Ville, the city's 1,500-seat outdoor amphitheater in the redeveloped downtown core, hosts a summer concert series and community events, and the 1825 Fayette County courthouse on the square is one of the oldest in Georgia. For concerts and downtown events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Trilith Studios and productions

Trilith Studios has made Fayetteville one of the busiest production towns in the country. We fly under the production's location permits and closures, and studio lots have their own rules on who flies, when and where. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Falcon Field and Georgia law

Falcon Field is a few miles west, so we check airspace for each location. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Fayetteville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs

Can you fly a concert at The Ville?

Yes, with the organizer's and artist's approval, on a route that keeps clear of the crowd unless our waivers allow otherwise.

Can you fly on a studio lot?

Yes. We fly under the production's permits and the lot's procedures, and work with the stunt and safety teams.

Can you film a ticketed show in Fayetteville?

Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.

Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?

Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
