Live event drones in Douglasville

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Douglasville. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Douglasville, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.

O'Neal Plaza

Our crew has flown live broadcast and FPV drone coverage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. O'Neal Plaza in downtown Douglasville hosts concerts, the farmers market and community events. For plaza concerts and downtown festivals we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Parks, retail and I-20

Hunter Memorial Park, with its small lake and ball fields, hosts community and youth sports events, and Arbor Place Mall and the retail along I-20 host openings and promotions. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

State parks, airspace and Georgia law

Sweetwater Creek State Park is a Georgia state park, where drone flights need a waiver from the state parks division. Douglasville sits west of Atlanta, with Fulton County Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson's airspace to the east. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Douglasville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs

Can you fly a concert at O'Neal Plaza?

With the city's approval, on a route that keeps clear of the crowd unless our waivers allow otherwise.

Can you fly at Sweetwater Creek State Park?

Only with a waiver from the state parks division, so we plan around it or launch from private property.

Can you film a ticketed show in Douglasville?

Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.

Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?

Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
