Live event drones in Rome
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Rome. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Rome, GA drone videographer page, and for one-take fly-throughs see our Rome, GA FPV drone pilot page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
Ballpark nights and tournaments
Our crew flew sub-100-gram livestream drones for UNITY at the Sphere in Las Vegas, with the live feed shown on its immersive screen, and we bring that live-feed setup to ballpark and tournament nights at AdventHealth Stadium with the team's approval. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Riverfront and downtown festivals
Downtown Rome sits where the Etowah and Oostanaula rivers meet to form the Coosa, and festivals along Broad Street and Between the Rivers are planned inside the organizer's production plan from agreed launch spots. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Campus events and airspace
Berry College and Shorter University events are filmed with each school's approval. Richard B. Russell Regional Airport, north of the city, has no control tower. We check every Rome location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Georgia event drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

FAQs
Do you need the organizer's consent to film a ticketed event in Rome?
Yes. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of or above a gated ticketed event without consent from whoever controls it, so we get it in writing first.
Can you film a Berry College event?
Yes, with the college's approval. We plan event, campus and athletics shots with the school before the date.
Can a Georgia city ban your drone shoot?
Mostly no. State law preempts most local drone rules, but a city can still control commercial launches and landings on its own property, so we confirm launch spots in Rome.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
