Live event drones in Canton
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Canton. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Canton, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
Cannon Park and the Canton Theatre
Our crew flew drones inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle to film Paramore's 2023 show. Cannon Park and the Historic Canton Theatre anchor Main Street in downtown Canton. With the city's approval we fly on a route that keeps clear of the audience unless our waivers allow otherwise. For Cannon Park concerts and downtown festivals we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
The Etowah River and Riverstone
Etowah River Park and the trail from Heritage Park follow the river near downtown and suit races and outdoor events, and the retail along Riverstone Parkway hosts openings and promotions. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Allatoona Lake, airspace and Georgia law
Allatoona Lake, to the south, is a Corps of Engineers lake, and commercial drone flights on its land and water need Corps authorization. Cherokee County Regional Airport has no control tower. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Canton location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly a Cannon Park concert?
With the city's approval, on a route that keeps clear of the audience unless our waivers allow otherwise.
Can you fly inside the Historic Canton Theatre?
Yes, with the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and lighting.
Can you film a ticketed show in Canton?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
