Live event drones in Dalton
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Dalton. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Dalton, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
The convention center and Dalton State
Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Downtown Dalton, the Dalton Convention Center and the Dalton State College campus all suit aerial content. For conventions, concerts, graduations and college events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Flooring industry events
Dalton calls itself the Carpet Capital of the World, and the mills, distribution centers and offices of the flooring industry are spread across Whitfield County. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Lakes, parks and Georgia law
Carters Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project, so flights from or over Corps land need the Corps' approval, and Fort Mountain State Park requires a Georgia State Parks drone waiver. Dalton Municipal Airport, about six miles southeast of downtown, has no control tower. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Dalton location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly inside the Dalton Convention Center?
Yes, with the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and lighting.
Can you fly at Fort Mountain State Park?
Only with a Georgia State Parks drone waiver, so we plan around it or shoot from private property.
Can you film a ticketed show in Dalton?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
