Downtown and the Scenic Railway

Our crew has flown the Life is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway leaves from the historic depot downtown and follows the Toccoa River on a 26-mile round trip. Cabins, venues and weddings

Fannin County's cabin rental market runs on photos and video, and an aerial that rises from the deck to the ridgeline sells the view better than any still. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Lake Blue Ridge, terrain and Georgia law

Lake Blue Ridge is a TVA reservoir surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. TVA's drone rules bar flights over its dams, power facilities and developed recreation areas, and Forest Service land has its own rules, so we confirm each launch site before quoting. In the mountains the bigger limits are often terrain and land rules: ridgelines block line of sight and the control signal, so we pick launch points before the shoot. Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three. We check every Blue Ridge location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
