The Okefenokee
Waycross is a gateway to the Okefenokee Swamp. Most of the swamp is Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, where the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service controls drone use, so we ask the refuge first and film from outside its boundary when permission is not available. Laura S. Walker State Park nearby requires a Georgia State Parks drone waiver.
Timber, farms and downtown
Pine plantations, timber tracts and farmland across Ware County are best understood from the air, and a low pass shows tree lines, roads and water. Downtown Waycross and its rail history suit city and tourism content. Airspace
Waycross-Ware County Airport, about three miles northwest of downtown, has no control tower, but the FAA publishes a drone facility map for the airspace around it, so some nearby addresses need authorization. We check every Waycross location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Georgia drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

Can you fly over the Okefenokee Swamp?
Only where the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service allows it on the refuge. We ask the refuge first and otherwise film from private land outside it.
Do you film timber and farmland?
Yes. Timber tracts, pine plantations and farms, with stills and video for owners, brokers and buyers.
Can you film a ticketed show in Waycross?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
