Thomasville
FPV drone pilot in Thomasville
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Thomasville for downtown and plantation fly-throughs, the Rose Show, events and brand content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Thomasville, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
Downtown and plantations
Our crew flew an indoor micro-drone fly-through of the Tempo by Hilton hotel in Times Square, through its lobbies and rooms. Downtown events on the brick streets around Broad Street, and weddings and gatherings at Red Hills plantations, are filmed with the organizer's or owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
The Rose Show and Festival
Thomasville's Rose Show and Festival has been held each spring for more than a century and fills Broad Street with a parade and street events, which we film with the city and the organizers on board. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Thomasville, GA live event drones.
Airspace
Thomasville Regional Airport has no control tower. We check every Thomasville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Georgia drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

FAQs
Can you film the Rose Show and Festival with FPV?
Yes, with the city and the organizers on board. Flights near the parade route and crowds are planned within FAA rules and local rules.
Can you film a ticketed show in Thomasville?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can a Georgia city ban your drone shoot?
Mostly no. State law preempts most local drone rules, but a city can still control commercial launches and landings on its own property, so we confirm launch spots in Thomasville.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
