Valdosta
FPV drone pilot in Valdosta
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Valdosta for campus and athletics content, attraction and hotel fly-throughs, events and brand content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Valdosta, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.
Valdosta State and game days
Historic downtown Valdosta and the Valdosta State University campus sit close together, and an FPV line from the courthouse district to campus shows both in one take. We film admissions, alumni and athletics content, including Bazemore-Hyder Stadium, with the university's approval. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Attractions, hotels and venues
Wild Adventures south of town and the hotels and restaurants along I-75 suit FPV that shows rides, rooms and scale, flown with each owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Airspace and Moody
Valdosta Regional Airport has a control tower, and its Class D airspace is in effect during tower hours. Moody Air Force Base, northeast of the city, has its own Class D airspace and a permanent FAA drone restriction over the base. We check every Valdosta location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Georgia drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

FAQs
Can you film a ticketed show in Valdosta?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
Can you fly near Moody Air Force Base?
No. Moody has a permanent FAA drone restriction over the base, so we plan every flight outside it and check the airspace before quoting.
Can a Georgia city ban your drone shoot?
Mostly no. State law preempts most local drone rules, but a city can still control commercial launches and landings on its own property, so we confirm launch spots in Valdosta.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
