The Rose Show and Festival
Our crew has flown the aerial livestream at Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco since 2023. Thomasville's Rose Show and Festival has been held each spring for more than a century and fills Broad Street with a parade and street events, which we film with the city and the organizers on board. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Downtown and plantation events
Downtown events on the brick streets around Broad Street, and weddings and gatherings at Red Hills plantations, are filmed with the organizer's or owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Airspace
Thomasville Regional Airport has no control tower. We check every Thomasville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Georgia event drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.
