Waycross
The Okefenokee
Waycross is a gateway to the Okefenokee Swamp. Most of the swamp is Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, where the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service controls drone use, so we ask the refuge first and film from outside its boundary when permission is not available. Laura S. Walker State Park nearby requires a Georgia State Parks drone waiver.
Timber, farms and land
Pine plantations, timber tracts and farmland across Ware County are best understood from the air. We film land listings and operations, with stills for the listing and a short film that shows tree lines, roads and water.
Downtown and events
Downtown Waycross and its rail history suit city and tourism content, and for interiors an indoor one-take fly-through shows the room the way a guest sees it; see indoor fly-through tours. Airspace
Waycross-Ware County Airport, about three miles northwest of downtown, has no control tower, but the FAA publishes a drone facility map for the airspace around it, so some nearby addresses need authorization. We check every Waycross location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
