Savannah, GA Drone Videographer and Operator
Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Savannah, Tybee Island and the Georgia coast for hotels, real estate, port and industrial sites, events and brand films. Our crew flew interior fly-throughs of 15+ Charleston, SC hotels for Vive Media. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).
Hotels, inns and the Historic District
Savannah sells its setting: the river, the live oaks over the squares, the Talmadge Memorial Bridge and the cobblestones of River Street. Hotels and inns, from the Plant Riverside District to small properties on the squares, use aerials to show that setting and an indoor one-take fly-through to show the lobby, the bar and the rooms in one unbroken move. It's the format we flew for more than 15 Charleston hotels; see the Charleston fly-throughs and our indoor fly-through tours.
The port and industrial Savannah
The Port of Savannah's Garden City Terminal is one of the country's busiest container ports, and the warehouses and logistics parks along I-16 and I-95 keep growing, along with suppliers serving the Hyundai Metaplant in Bryan County. Developers, brokers and manufacturers need high establishing shots that show highway and port access, and progress video flown from the same positions every month so it cuts together cleanly.
Festivals, parades and arena shows
Savannah's calendar is full: the Savannah Music Festival in spring, a St. Patrick's Day parade that ranks among the largest in the country, the SCAD Savannah Film Festival each fall, concerts and Ghost Pirates hockey at Enmarket Arena, and the Savannah Bananas at Historic Grayson Stadium. For organizers and promoters we film recaps and send live drone feeds to the stream or video board; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Tybee, the marsh and the islands
Homes on Wilmington Island, Isle of Hope and Skidaway Island are all about the water, and a slow rise over the marsh at high tide shows it better than any ground photo. Tybee Island needs more planning: the city requires approval for commercial filming and a separate beach permit, the Tybee Island Light Station doesn't allow drones over the site during its operating hours, and Fort Pulaski National Monument is National Park Service land where drones can't be launched.
Airspace
Savannah/Hilton Head International, northwest of downtown, has Class C airspace, and Hunter Army Airfield on the south side has Class D. We check each address on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY and file LAANC or FAA authorization where it's needed. Filming on city streets, sidewalks and other public property goes through the City of Savannah's Film and Media office, which issues a separate drone permit, so we build that into the schedule.

FAQs
Can you fly over Savannah's squares and Forsyth Park?
We check the FAA airspace for the location and work through the City of Savannah's Film and Media office, which issues a separate drone permit for filming on public property. We handle both before the shoot.
Do you film hotel interiors?
Yes. Our one-take indoor fly-throughs run through lobbies, rooms and rooftops on small drones built for flying near people. We've flown more than 15 Charleston hotels for Vive Media.
Is the airport's airspace a problem in Savannah?
Not usually. Savannah/Hilton Head International has Class C airspace and Hunter Army Airfield has Class D, so we check each address and request LAANC or FAA authorization where it's needed before the date.
Can you film on Tybee Island?
Yes, with the city's commercial filming approval and a beach permit where needed. The Tybee Island Light Station doesn't allow drones over the site during its operating hours.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
