St. Simons Island
Pier Village and the lighthouse
The St. Simons Lighthouse, the pier and the shops of Pier Village sit together on the south end of the island. A rise over the lighthouse toward the sound shows the setting in one move, and for restaurants and inns an indoor one-take fly-through shows the room the way a guest sees it; see indoor fly-through tours.
Weddings, resorts and golf
Beach weddings, resort hotels and the island's golf courses are the core of Golden Isles work. We film ceremonies with the venue's approval, and resort and course aerials that show the beach, the marsh and the fairways in one take.
Coastal real estate and Brunswick
Homes on East Beach, marsh-front lots and historic downtown Brunswick sell better from above. Jekyll Island requires Jekyll Island Authority approval for any commercial drone filming, and Fort Frederica National Monument is National Park Service land, closed to drone flights. For festivals and resort events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Airspace
St. Simons Island Airport and Brunswick Golden Isles Airport have no control towers, but each sits inside a Class E surface area, which is controlled airspace from the ground up and needs FAA authorization. We check every Golden Isles location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Often, yes. Much of the island lies inside the controlled airspace around St. Simons Island Airport, so we request LAANC or FAA authorization before the shoot.

Yes, with the venue's approval, on a route that keeps clear of guests unless our waivers allow otherwise.

What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
