Live event drones in Raleigh

Walnut Creek and the amphitheaters
Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek, built by the City of Raleigh and opened in 1991, holds about 20,000. Downtown, the original Red Hat Amphitheater hosted its final show on October 23, 2026, and a new amphitheater is under construction one block south, expected to open for the 2027 concert season. We plan amphitheater coverage with the venue and the promoter around the stage, the lawn and the house cameras.
Lenovo Center and arena shows
Lenovo Center, known as PNC Arena until its 2024 renaming, hosts Hurricanes hockey, concerts and touring shows. Indoor flights at the arena need the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and the lighting crew, and we fly small, lightweight drones close to the action. See Live drone feeds for video boards.
Downtown festivals
Hopscotch Music Festival filled downtown Raleigh September 10 to 12, 2026, and its rules list drones of any kind among prohibited items for attendees. For festivals like that, we fly only as part of the organizer's approved production. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
