Live event drones in Charlotte
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Charlotte. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Charlotte, NC drone videographer page, and for one-take fly-throughs see our Charlotte FPV drone pilot page.
Truliant Amphitheater
Truliant Amphitheater, known as PNC Music Pavilion until its 2026 renaming, is managed by Live Nation and lists a capacity of about 19,500, with roughly 7,200 covered seats and a large general admission lawn. Drone coverage there is approved by the venue and the promoter, and we plan it around the stage, the lawn and the house cameras. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Uptown festivals and permits
Festivals that close uptown streets or use city-controlled spaces need a city Public Assembly permit, handled by the Charlotte Department of Transportation. Events in county-owned parks go through Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation. We work from the organizer's permits and site map and fit drone use inside their terms.
Stadium shows and live feeds
For stadium concerts and big games we fly only outside the FAA stadium restriction or as part of an approved production. We send the drone feed live to IMAG screens, the stream or a broadcast truck; see Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

FAQs
Can you fly at Truliant Amphitheater?
Only with the approval of the venue and the promoter. We plan coverage around the stage, the lawn and the house cameras and keep clear of open crowds.
Do uptown festivals need a permit for drones?
The festival itself needs city permits when it closes streets or uses city spaces, and we fit drone use inside the organizer's permit and site plan.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
Can you fly over the crowd?
Only when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, and with the organizer's approval. Otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
