Live event drones in Pensacola

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Pensacola. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Pensacola, FL drone videographer page.

Concerts, the ballpark and festivals

Our crew flew drones for the Vans Warped Tour live broadcast on Prime Video in Orlando. Concerts, Blue Wahoos Stadium events, festivals and downtown events are flown with the venue's approval inside the production plan. City officials have warned drone pilots away from crowds at downtown races and parades, and we never fly over people without an approved plan. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Navy airspace and the air show

Pensacola International has Class C airspace, and Naval Air Station Pensacola, home of the Blue Angels, adds military airspace and a base we never fly over. The Pensacola Beach Air Show does not allow drones, and the FAA posts a flight restriction around it, so air show aerials are off the table for private drones. We check every Pensacola location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Gulf Islands National Seashore

Gulf Islands National Seashore, including Fort Pickens and parts of Perdido Key, is National Park Service land, where launching or landing a drone is prohibited without the superintendent's written approval. Not all of Pensacola Beach is park land, so we map each launch site before the event. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first.

Florida drone law

Florida Statute 330.41 bars drone flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, water plants, seaports, airports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents in writing, and it bars flights over K-12 schools, so we plan routes around both. Florida state parks prohibit drone takeoff and landing on park land, so we launch from outside the park.
