Live event drones in Lawrenceville
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Lawrenceville. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Lawrenceville drone videography page, and for one-take fly-throughs see our Lawrenceville FPV drone pilot page.
The Lawrenceville Lawn
The Lawrenceville Lawn is the city's downtown park, with a stage of about 40 by 60 feet added in a 2020 renovation. It hosts the free LIVE in the DTL concert series, which in 2026 was listed for May 29, June 12, August 14 and September 25, along with Prelude to the Fourth, the Harvest Festival and BOO Fest. These are city events, so drone coverage is planned with the city as part of the event plan.
City parks and the drone rule
Lawrenceville's city code bars flying drones and other powered model aircraft in city parks and recreation facilities except in areas the parks director designates, under the director's rules. We ask the city for a designated launch spot or launch from approved private property nearby, and we never launch from an open crowd area.
Gwinnett Field video board feeds
Gwinnett Field, county-owned and known as Coolray Field until it was renamed for 2026, opened in 2009 and seats roughly 10,000 for the Gwinnett Stripers, the Braves' Triple-A club. For promotions and special nights we can send a drone feed live to the video board or stream with the team's approval; see Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Georgia event drone law
Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

FAQs
Can you fly a drone at the Lawrenceville Lawn?
Only where the city allows it. City code bars drones in city parks except in areas the parks director designates, so we plan launch spots with the city.
Can you send a drone feed to the Gwinnett Field video board?
Yes, with the team's approval. We send live drone video to the board or the stream and agree the format and cue points with their production staff.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
Can you film a ticketed show in Lawrenceville?
Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
