Race days and horse country
Our crew flew five days of live coverage, live to FOX, at the FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta. Aiken's identity is the horse: polo, steeplechase, eventing and the farms that support them. For big race days like the Aiken Spring Steeplechase and the Aiken Triple Crown events we film for organizers and sponsors on the course plan they approve, and never over horses in competition. We fly high and slow near paddocks and keep launch and landing points well away from turnout. Downtown and the Winter Colony
The parkway medians and oaks downtown, the historic Winter Colony homes and the edges of Hitchcock Woods give Aiken a look found nowhere else, and inns, restaurants and boutiques suit indoor work. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Airspace and the Savannah River Site
Aiken Regional Airport (AIK) sits north of town, and the Savannah River Site has federal flight restrictions to the south. We never fly over or near the site. Hitchcock Woods and some private land have their own rules on aircraft, so we confirm permission first. South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites. We check every Aiken location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

Yes, for organizers and sponsors, following the approved course plan and never over horses in competition.
Can you fly near the Savannah River Site?
No. The site has federal flight restrictions and we stay well clear of it.
Can you fly without spooking the horses?
Yes. We fly high and slow near paddocks, launch away from turnout, and plan the flight with the barn manager.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
