Clemson, SC Live Event and Concert Drones

Live event drones in Clemson

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Clemson. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Clemson, SC drone videographer page.

Memorial Stadium game days

Our crew flew drone coverage at Austin City Limits in Zilker Park for the festival's Hulu live broadcast. Memorial Stadium draws huge crowds on football Saturdays, and the FAA's stadium flight restriction applies within 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after major games. We plan tailgate, town and campus content around those windows and around university approvals. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Campus, downtown and Lake Hartwell

Festivals and concerts are flown inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Lake Hartwell is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake, so flights from or over Corps land need the Corps' approval.

Airspace and state law

Oconee County Regional Airport, about three miles west of Clemson, has no control tower. South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites. We check every Clemson location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs

Can you fly at Memorial Stadium on event days?

Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.

Can you fly an event on Lake Hartwell?

Flights from or over Army Corps of Engineers land need the Corps' approval, so we plan launch spots around that.

Is there a control tower near Clemson?

No. Oconee County Regional Airport, about three miles west of Clemson, has no control tower.

Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?

Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
