Rock Hill, SC Live Event and Concert Drones

Live event drones in Rock Hill

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Rock Hill. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Rock Hill, SC drone videographer page.

Races and sports tourism

Our crew flew drones down the Las Vegas Strip and around the F1 cars at the 2022 Las Vegas Grand Prix launch party. Rock Hill's BMX Supercross Track, which hosted the 2017 and 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Championships, the Velodrome, Manchester Meadows and the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center suit fast race and tournament coverage inside the organizer's plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Winthrop and Old Town

Winthrop University events and Old Town Rock Hill festivals are flown with the university's or organizer's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Airspace

Rock Hill-York County Airport has no control tower, and Charlotte's busy airspace is to the north. We check every Rock Hill location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

South Carolina law

South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites.
