FPV drone pilot in Charleston

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Charleston for hotel and venue fly-throughs, stadium and coliseum shows, festivals and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Charleston drone videography page.

Hotel and venue fly-throughs

One-take FPV fly-throughs move from the entrance through the lobby, rooms and rooftop in a single shot, the format our crew has flown for more than 15 hotels in the area. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Credit One Stadium and the Coliseum

Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island and the North Charleston Coliseum host concerts and events where we fly with the venue's approval. Indoor flights at the Coliseum need the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and the lighting crew, and we fly small, lightweight drones close to the action. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Airspace and military sites

Charleston International Airport shares its runways with Joint Base Charleston, and much of the area sits in controlled airspace. South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites. We check every Charleston location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

City events

Festivals in city parks and streets run under city special event permits, so we confirm drone use with the organizer and the city before quoting. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
