Myrtle Beach
FPV drone pilot in Myrtle Beach
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Myrtle Beach for resort and hotel fly-throughs, beach festivals, golf, attractions and brand content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Myrtle Beach, SC drone videographer page.
Resorts and hotels
Oceanfront resorts need shots that move from the lobby to the pool deck and the beach in one take, and FPV does that in a single continuous line. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Festivals and the beach
Carolina Country Music Fest ran June 4 to 7, 2026 on the oceanfront near the boardwalk, and the 2027 festival is listed for June 10 to 13. Festival FPV only happens inside the approved production. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Airspace
Myrtle Beach International Airport is inside the city and has a control tower, so much of the city is controlled airspace that needs LAANC or FAA authorization. We check every Myrtle Beach location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
South Carolina drone law
South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV at Carolina Country Music Fest?
Only inside the approved production, planned with the organizer's team. We do not fly over festival crowds unless FAA rules for flying over people are met.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Myrtle Beach?
It depends on the address. Myrtle Beach International has a control tower, so much of the city is controlled airspace. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Does South Carolina have its own drone law?
Yes. Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, bars knowingly flying within 1,500 feet of a military installation, prison or jail without written permission.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
