Hilton Head Island
Resorts and hotels
Island resorts and villas need aerials of the water and interiors that show the rooms. An indoor one-take fly-through moves from lobby to pool in a single shot, the format we have flown for Charleston-area hotels; see indoor fly-through tours.
Golf and Harbour Town
Courses across the island, including Harbour Town in Sea Pines with its lighthouse, read best from the air. We fly courses with the club's or community's permission, and gated plantations set their own rules.
Weddings and waterfront homes
Marsh-front and oceanfront homes sell on the view, and resort and waterfront venues host weddings all year. For weddings, tournaments and resort events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones. The town treats drones as motor vehicles on the beach, which its beach ordinance prohibits, so we launch from private property.
Airspace
Hilton Head Island Airport has a control tower, so the north end of the island is controlled airspace, and MCAS Beaufort and Parris Island to the north are federal no-drone areas. We check every Hilton Head Island location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
