Summerville
FPV drone pilot in Summerville
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Summerville for model home and amenity fly-throughs, inn and restaurant tours, festival recaps and brand content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Summerville, SC drone videographer page.
New communities
Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Summerville is one of the fastest-growing parts of the Charleston region, and master-planned communities, builders and commercial sites need progress flights and finished-site aerials. For model homes and amenity centers an indoor one-take fly-through shows the space. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Summerville, SC live event drones.
Flowertown and hospitality
The Flowertown Festival fills Main Street and Azalea Park each spring, and downtown Summerville's shops and restaurants suit short promos; we film events with the city and organizers on board. Summerville's inns, venues and restaurants suit one continuous micro-drone flight planned with the property. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Airspace
Summerville Airport, about five miles northwest of town, has no control tower, but Charleston International's controlled airspace is to the southeast and Joint Base Charleston's Naval Weapons Station, a federal no-drone area, is to the east. South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites. We check every Summerville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Do you fly model homes and amenity centers?
Yes. Indoor one-take fly-throughs of model homes and amenity centers, plus progress flights for builders.
Can you film the Flowertown Festival?
Yes, with the city and the organizers on board. We plan flight paths that keep clear of the crowd unless our waivers allow otherwise.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Summerville?
It depends on the address. Summerville Airport has no control tower. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
