FPV drone pilot in Bluffton
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Bluffton for wedding films, venue and resort fly-throughs, real estate and brand content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Bluffton, SC drone videographer page.
Weddings and venues
Our crew flies EDC Las Vegas as a three-pilot drone team, with over-the-crowd drones fed into the Hulu live stream. Palmetto Bluff and other May River venues suit FPV that moves from the chapel down the dock to the water, flown with the venue's approval and a safe distance from guests. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Bluffton, SC live event drones.
Old Town and real estate
Old Town's galleries and restaurants and the homes along the May River suit FPV tours that move from the street to the waterfront, flown with each owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Bluffton airspace and military sites
The island airport just east has a control tower, and MCAS Beaufort and Parris Island to the north are federal no-drone areas. South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites. We check every Bluffton location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV at a Palmetto Bluff wedding?
Yes, with the venue's approval, keeping a safe distance from guests.
Can you fly near Parris Island?
No. MCAS Beaufort and Parris Island are federal no-drone areas, so we plan every flight well clear of them.
What permits do you need for an event in Bluffton?
It depends on the venue. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job and get the organizer's written approval.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
