Hilton Head Island, SC FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Hilton Head Island

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Hilton Head Island for golf content, resort and villa fly-throughs, weddings and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Hilton Head Island, SC drone videographer page.

Golf and Harbour Town

Our crew flew live broadcast drone work for the T-Mobile 5G Range Show at the 2024 PGA Championship. Courses across the island, including Harbour Town in Sea Pines with its lighthouse, suit low FPV lines over fairways and clubhouses, flown with the club's or community's permission. Gated communities set their own rules. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Hilton Head Island, SC live event drones.

Resorts, villas and weddings

Resorts and villas suit one-take fly-throughs from lobby to pool, and waterfront venues host weddings all year, flown with the property's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first.

Airspace and military sites

Hilton Head Island Airport has a control tower, so the north end of the island is controlled airspace. MCAS Beaufort and Parris Island to the north are federal no-drone areas. We check every Hilton Head Island location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.South Carolina's Act 150, set to take effect January 1, 2027, makes it a crime to knowingly fly within 1,500 feet of a military installation or a prison or jail without written permission, so we plan routes around those sites.
