Buffalo, NY FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Buffalo

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Buffalo for arena and game day content, Canalside and waterfront events, venue tours and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Buffalo, NY drone videographer page.

Arenas and game days

Our crew flew drones inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle to film Paramore's 2023 show. Inside KeyBank Center and other arenas we fly sub-250-gram drones with the venue's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events.

Canalside and the waterfront

Canalside concerts and waterfront events suit close FPV lines inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Airports, federal sites and parks

Buffalo Niagara International sits under Class C airspace east of the city. The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Coast Guard Sector Buffalo on the downtown waterfront and Coast Guard Station Niagara are federal no-drone areas, closed from the ground to 400 feet around the clock. New York State Parks require a prior written permit to launch, land or fly a drone on park property, and commercial filming goes through the State Parks film permit process. We check every Buffalo location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
