Amelia Island
Amelia Island drone videography
We fly luxury resorts and hotels, The Amelia concours and car week, festivals in Fernandina Beach, golf, beach weddings and oceanfront real estate across Amelia Island and Nassau County. For hotels we also fly one-take indoor fly-through tours. For car events and festivals we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Fernandina Beach airport and Kings Bay
Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport has no permanent control tower, though a temporary tower has operated during the concours. The FAA posts a drone security restriction near Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, just north across the St. Marys River, so we keep north end flights clear of it. We check every Amelia Island location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Fort Clinch and the state parks
Fort Clinch State Park and Amelia Island State Park fall under the state park rule. Florida state parks prohibit drone takeoff and landing on park land, so we launch from outside the park. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first.
Florida drone law
Florida Statute 330.41 bars drone flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, water plants, seaports, airports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents in writing, and it bars flights over K-12 schools, so we plan routes around both. Florida's drone privacy law protects people on private property who cannot be seen from the ground, so we keep neighbors out of frame or get their consent.

FAQs
Can you film The Amelia concours?
Only with the event's approval as part of its media plan. We check for temporary flight restrictions and keep drones off the crowd.
Can you fly at Fort Clinch State Park?
No. Florida state parks prohibit drone takeoff and landing on park land, so we launch from outside the park.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Amelia Island?
It depends on the address. Fernandina Beach Municipal has no permanent tower, and the FAA restricts drones near Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Do you film resorts and oceanfront homes?
Yes, with the owner's approval. We keep guests and neighbors who have not agreed to be filmed out of frame.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
