Live event drones in Fort Lauderdale
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Fort Lauderdale. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Fort Lauderdale, FL drone videographer page. For Miami work see our Miami FPV drone pilot page.
Festivals and boat shows
Our crew has flown live broadcast and FPV drone coverage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and Broward festivals, concerts and boat shows on Las Olas, the Intracoastal and the beachfront are planned the same way, inside the organizer's production plan. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Stadium days
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, south of Broward, is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We fly stadium work only inside an approved production.
Port Everglades and Florida law
Florida Statute 330.41 bars drone flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, water plants, seaports, airports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents in writing, and it bars flights over K-12 schools, so we plan routes around both. Port Everglades and the fuel terminals around it fall under that law. Florida's drone privacy law protects people on private property who cannot be seen from the ground, so we keep neighbors out of frame or get their consent.
Airspace
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, 3 miles southwest of downtown, has a control tower, and Fort Lauderdale Executive, 5 miles north, is towered too, so many addresses need LAANC. We check every Fort Lauderdale location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly over Port Everglades during an event?
No, not without the owner's written consent. Florida law covers seaports and fuel terminals, so we plan flight paths around them.
Are there Florida laws on where drones can fly?
Yes. Florida law bars flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, seaports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents, and it bars flights over K-12 schools.
Can you fly at Hard Rock Stadium on event days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
